No one has to travel to Africa to go on safari and see amazing animals. Located in southeastern Ohio, the Wilds is one of the largest and most innovative wildlife conservation centers in the world. It is a 10,000-acre open-range habitat for rare and endangered species from around the world, as well as home to hundreds of indigenous species.

The Wilds is a private, non-profit conservation center created in 1986 by a group of civic and political leaders along with zoo professionals. It was implemented as a serious scientific approach to find lasting solutions for environmental concerns.

The Wilds is managed by a team of doctors and scientists focused on the health and well-being of endangered species, veterinary health, wildlife management and conservation. Formally, the Wilds is incorporated as The International Center for the Preservation of Wild Animals, Inc. (ICPWA).
